Giveaway Alert!

Over the last several months, I have come to know a very sweet blogger from Germany by the name of Janine. She is a very talented artist and painter. Her style is very whimsical and playful in nature and I just adore it. She is currently hosting a giveaway on her blog, Join Janine. Her giveaway is for a painting titled, I Wish You Heaven. I hope you drop by and say hello and enter her giveaway.

It is so warm and muggy here that I'm about ready to crawl out of my skin. Over the past several weeks, we've been having intermittent southerly air flow through the islands. Islanders refer to this as Kona weather. It is a warm sluggish air that pushes up the vog from Hawaii Island (where the city of Kona is located) to the northern islands, cutting the trade winds and making the air feel thick and heavy. Here I go complaining again. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah! I dislike warm weather as it makes me feel like a big sweaty, lethargic, uncreative, blob.

Not much progress going on here with my projects. Handwork just takes so doggone long and the work is very slow to bring to fruition. Even though I've sewn my little fingers off, this is all I have to show. Not much, huh?

I hope you're having a fantastic day!

Aloha!

Looks like progress to me...hope your weather improves. I hate it when it is hot and muggy too. It just makes you feel so unmotivated! I will go by and visit your new friend's blog.

Stay Cozy, Carrie

I am sorry you are unhappy with your weather...even though I thought you lived in paradise. At least the brochures make it sound like paradise. In my neck of the woods if you don't like the weather, just wait a couple of hours and it will change! Hope you have just the weather you want soon. Ta.........

Thanks for the giveaway link! Really pretty painting. By the way, I would definitely take your warm weather any day. I am so cold, still, I just pile the quilts on to keep warm. My doctor even said at my annual physical that my body was just not built to be in this New England weather. But he felt I was more suited for Hawaii. Bring it on! I like my doctor! Your hexies are just multiplying like bunnies. I love the color way that you are using.

I'll take a warm muggy day in Hawaii to a cold rainy day in Ohio any day! Your hexies are looking good. Must try them someday.

This is so pretty - I am a novice at sewing and a bit intimidated but have painted forever and am very interested in creating 'art quilts'. I'll stop back again to be inspired by your beautiful creations! Thank you for sharing!
