Oh So Sweet and Calorie Free!

There is something about the color combination of pale yellow and mint green that I just adore. Combined in a whimsical flower pin, this will make a sweet and adorable embellishment to a hat, handbag, or child's jumper.

You could be the winner of this pin along with...

this 8-pocket travel jewelry tote...

these flower hairpins...

this ice cream cone ornament with beaded wire hanger...

this pretty Fall sunflower tissue holder...

and this Sunshine Posy handbag.

To be eligible for this giveaway, please share your favorite holiday cookie or dessert recipe along with the reason why it is special to you in my comment section under my post of September 3rd. You will not be judged by your recipe. The giveaway will end on Monday, September 22, 2008, which also happens to be the first day of Fall. A winner will be chosen by random number generator on Tuesday, September 23, 2008.

Thank you, everyone, for entering the giveaway. I have to admit that all of these recipes are really getting to me. I am really trying my best to resist baking something until we get closer to the holidays. I don't know how much longer I can take it. All that butter and sugar is calling my name.

Please have a fabulous and safe weekend.

Aloha!

We must be on the same wave length. I made 5 pincushions like that last month. I filled the center with emery, to keep your needles sharp. I forgot to take a pic. before I sent them off. I don't even have one to use as a sample.

I love mint green and yellow together. They were the colors at my uncle's wedding in 1960 and I remember it really well. I was a starry-eyed 11 year old who thought the whole fluffy white dress, green and yellow bridesmaids dresses, cake, mints, gifts, etc. was like Cinderella at the ball. The fairytale ended when they divorced many years later, but I still remember the loveliness of that day. You have really made some beautiful things for your drawing. I think I need to "wish on a star" and then cross my fingers that I will win! :-)
