I hate to fill my blog with random inane posts, but lately it seems that it is the only thing that I have time for.
I did go to a party over the weekend. The centerpieces were vases filled with flowers. I assumed that the vases were made of glass until my sister-in-law told me otherwise. It is actually made from a soft plastic that is held rigid when filled with water. I was sitting a foot away from it and thought that it was glass. Very convincing and quite innovative.
The best part about it is that it is collapsible and can be stored flat.
Thank you all for your lovely comments. I apologize for being so out of touch. Life seems to have knocked the wind out of my sails. I haven't done anything earth shattering or interesting lately. I am still stitching hexagons into ornaments and have started making puffy Sweetheart Suzy flower pins. Perhaps another random, inane post is in order about all that stuff. We'll see. Until then, take care, everyone!
Aloha!
I have seen those vases... they are sooo cool. I always enjoy looking at the tutorials for the crafts you make. You are so creative, you are allowed to have some "down time" every once in a while! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen those vases before. Those are so cool. I'll add them to my gift list possibilities for later. Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeletewow that is soo cool! save on storage space. TFS!
ReplyDeleteYou need another NC visit with friends! Come on..You can stay with me! :)
ReplyDeleteI think that we all feel that way at times but mumbo jumbo is still good. Every time that I sew with my handy dandy pincushion I think of you and since I gave them all away...even my favorite one, I guess I had better get sewing.

Hi Lettie ~ It sounds as though you're a bit down....please don't feel that you have to blog. But, I did like what you spoke about. While I've heard of those vases, I've never seen one. How neat! Didn't realize they were reusable.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself.....we'll all patiently await your comments.
Hugs, Karen

Gosh Lettie, it does look like glass..I seen these somewhere in a ad. Its a great idea....
ReplyDeleteLove your blog as you well know...sweet dreams..Aloha...
I had not seen these vases before, but what a great idea. If you pick them up when they have water in them...to they squeeze in? I would think it would be hard to carry them around.
ReplyDeleteTeresa, the vases are sturdy and do not collapse when they are being held. I had the same thought that you did, wondering how I was going to carry it home without making a mess. It turned out that it wasn't a problem. I didn't see a single person struggle with it as they left the party. The plastic is thick enough to provide enough support. This is a wonderful idea for people who have little children and are afraid that they will break a glass vase and also great for people who live in small spaces (care homes, dorm rooms, etc). Totally a terrific product and idea. (Wish I had thought of it...hehehehe!)
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that vase...you know blogs should be about whatever you want to put on them or not put on them...and they shouldn't rule you...you should just post when you want or dont want...that's my thoughts...hugs Khris
