It is amazing what you find when you begin organizing. I must have thought that I needed more colored pencils. Why? I don't know.
I am kind of in between projects at the moment and still unsure what to work on next. I actually feel a bit scattered even though I am a lot more organized now. When I feel this way, I always opt for something familiar.
My motto: When you don't know what else to make, make hexagons.
So, hexagons it will be. Maybe more Hexagon Flower Ornaments are in order.
After all, I have 6 drawers of scrap fabric sitting around waiting to be made into something.
I'll leave you with this. We sometimes have the most amazing Hawaiian sunsets. This was snapped from my patio several evenings ago.

I love your colorful array of pencils...and your beautiful sunset. Someday I might get to see it there. I think hexagons are very relaxing to work on and a good thing to do while coming up with a next project.

You wouldn't be creative if you didn't find yourself in a rut. I think it makes us invent another reason to get back in the saddle and get more done. The organization shows a creative side also. Hang in there you will be restored and rejuvenated in no time. chris

ReplyDeleteI recently discovered your blog -- reminds me of my best friend in Chattanooga who can always find something nifty & crafty to do with just about anything. You have such neat things to try! Re your fabric scraps, what about yo-yos? They are great for using up small pieces & can decorate lots of things or be strung together for toys etc.
ReplyDeleteHaving been inspired by your last posting to do something about my buttons I went to B&Q, our big DIY chain and bought some divided boxed (in the sale and very cheap) and spent a wonderful Saturday morning sorting out my buttons, beads, sequins and other pretty, shiny things or PSTs as they are called in our house My husband thinks I will never need to buy another button but I can already see I am a bit low on purple and orange ones...
